Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. The event took place on Sunday March 9,2014 at Atani Anambra state.The event was also inconjuction with the National Directorate of Employment {NDE}.RT.Hon.Emeka Ihediohathe Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives was present at the event as a special guest .The 150 Ogbaru youths graduated from the Skill Acquisition program which was organised by Fidelis Ogene Memorial Foundation and hundreds of gifts items were also given to the graduates.Not only the 150 youths that benefited from the program but over 350 men,women and physically challenged,also benefited from the empowerment program.I believe Hon Ogene is a shining example and others that have the means to help their community,they should do so.More pictures below.
