 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

ANITA BAKER,ISSUED WITH A WARRANT FOR HER ARREST.

Illustrious career: The 56-year-old - pictured here at the 47th annual Grammy Awards in 2004 - has won eight Grammys, while she has five platinum and one gold album           56 year old Anita Baker,said she is terrified and she is in total shock to learn that authorities in Detroit had issued the warrant after she failed to appear in court for a civil lawsuit hearing on wednesday.''I've never been in trouble with the law,i'm terrified''.She keep insisting she knew nothing about the hearing relating to an unpaid bill for services completed on her Grose Pointe home.On friday,her lawyer Jamal Hamood,filed a motion to have the warrant lifted and the default judgement  overturned following her no show.She only learnt of her own warrant of arrest on thursday when she watched it being broadcast on TV.Read her tweet below and other pictures.                                                                                                                               'BIG time crazy': Anita expressed her surprise about the warrant on Twitter on Thursday, after learning about it while watching TV  A star is born: The Ohio-born songstress - seen here in 1985 - scored huge hits in the 1980s with songs such as the Grammy-winning single Sweet Love'I've never been in trouble with the law.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
