 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NIGERIAN COURTS,STARTS STRIKE ON WEDNESDAY.

                       The strike is meant to protest government's disregard of a court order that asked Federal  and state government to guarantee the autonomy of the Judiciary as contained in the Nigeria constitution.The Judiciary workers group,which is under their union,JUSUN,has now gained the support of the Sharia,Area and customary courts,Judges Association of Nigeria {SACCJAN},which on Sunday said it would join the nation wide warning strike which will start on Wenesday.The Union president Alhaji Zakariya Adamu at the opening of the Union's delegates conference in Jigawa say's,''A Federal High court in Abuja had passed a judgement in favour of JUSUN for the independence of the judiciary,and both states and the Federal governments are yet to implement it nor did they appeal the judgement,all members of the Union across the country is to close their courts from wednesday to friday,March 12 to 14,2014.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
