Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. NIGERIAN COURTS,STARTS STRIKE ON WEDNESDAY.

                       The strike is meant to protest government's disregard of a court order that asked Federal  and state government to guarantee the autonomy of the Judiciary as contained in the Nigeria constitution.The Judiciary workers group,which is under their union,JUSUN,has now gained the support of the Sharia,Area and customary courts,Judges Association of Nigeria {SACCJAN},which on Sunday said it would join the nation wide warning strike which will start on Wenesday.The Union president Alhaji Zakariya Adamu at the opening of the Union's delegates conference in Jigawa say's,''A Federal High court in Abuja had passed a judgement in favour of JUSUN for the independence of the judiciary,and both states and the Federal governments are yet to implement it nor did they appeal the judgement,all members of the Union across the country is to close their courts from wednesday to friday,March 12 to 14,2014.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
