 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. 7 INTERNET SCAMMERS ARRESTED IN LEKKI.

              The EFCC,raided Lekki and arrested 7 undergraduates who are studying in various courses in Nigerian universities.They are within the age range of 21,and 29 years.There names are,Elete Fred Debi,500 level student of Physic/production Technology of the university of Port Harcourt,Rivers State,Ese Iriruaga,300 level student of Geology,Delta state university Abraka,Couson Jimmy,300 level student of computer science,Benson Idahosa university Benin city Edo state,Anthony Onos,200 level student of political science,Lagos state university Ojo,Omene Stephen,200 level computer science,university of Port Harcourt,River state,Kome Emmanuel,200 level student of Petroleum engineering,university of Port Harcourt.and Shola Muyiwa,petroleum training institte,Effurun,Delta state.They were picked from two houses in Lekki county home and Lekki phase one.Various items like luxury cars,phones etc.One of them Sola Muyiwa confessed that,he recently collected $100 from one of his victims,Dora Hunt,based in North Carolina,United States of America.View their faces very well in below.
