 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu: arrested                                                     According to sources,Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu,was selling crack in Thailand,but he didn't know that his regular buyer is now under arrest and she only came to buy from him to lead the police to him.Before his arrest 30 years old Smokid Waew Kwangen {the buyer},was arrested due to some information they got about her.When they searched her house,they found 1.2 grams of cocaine.Waew told the police that she had bought the cocaine from a foreign male through one of her friends and she led the police to her friend,a 32 years old Brtish national Curtis Martin Taylor and he was arrested at his apartment on 50 pi road.They found one gram of marijuana in his pocket.It was the Bristish man that told the Thailand police that a Nigerian man is involved that was how the police then set up a sting operation involving Smokid to arrest Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu who is now charged with possession of ,category 2 drug with intent to sell.Smokid category 2,while the Briton was charged with category 5,that is to say,charged with the possession of the drug.The rate at which our youths are desperately chasing money,is over whelming.More pictures below.                          Briton Taylor Curtis Martin- also arrestedIbenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu, with her Thai accomplice under police interrogation
