 POLICE-LED SECURITY FORCE DISLODGE A CRIMINAL CAMP IN OGBUNKA: NOTES THAT THE JOINT SECURITY FORCE SHALL CONTINUE TO DENY UNREPENTANT CRIMINALS THE SPACE TO COMMIT HAVOC IN THE STATE The Police-led Joint Security Team comprising the Army, from the 302 Artillery Regiment (GS), Navy from the Naval Command, Department of State Security, Anambra State Vigilante, acting on information received over time dislodged a criminal Camp at Ogbunka.  The Joint Security Team in a six (6) hours gun battle with the armed criminals, due to its superior firepower diffused some explosives used as shields on the camp by the hoodlums. The team also recovered a lot of relief materials like pots, foodstuffs and parts of dismembered suspected stolen vehicles even as some of the criminals escaped with various degrees of bullet injuries inflicted on them. RAHMAN RALIAT,STABS CO-TENANT WITH A BROKEN BOTTLE.

•Jamiu after he was stabbed in the face by his neighbour                                                          According to sources,the trouble began between the two tenants Raliat Rahman and Sulaimon Jamiu,when Raliat allegedly went to collect the bathroom key from a co-tenant .Jamiu was not pleased that Raliat came to his apartment to ask for the key and accused her of monitoring his visitor when Jamiu challenged Raliat,an arguement ensued between them which the accused allegedly went for a bottle,broke it and stabbed the victim on his head,face and hand.Raliat fled after committing the alleged offence but after threedays she was arrested at a hideout and charged to court.The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charge and the presiding magistrate admitted her on bail with the sum of N50,000 with two sureties .She has been taken to Kirikiri prison Apapa pending when she fulfill the bail condition.The event took place at Prince Abolaji Avenue,Imolete,Alaga,Baba Adisa village,Ibeju Lekki,Lagos.                                                                  •Jamiu after he was stabbed in the face by his neighbour

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
