 A 12-year-old Pennsylvania girl passed away, weighing only 50 lbs, DA states that she was "tormented and refused sustenance". Dad and girlfriend are charged. Malinda Hogland was rushed to a hospital on Saturday after her father, 52-year-old Rendell Hogland, called paramedics and claimed he found her unconscious and unresponsive. He claimed she had hit a tree while riding her bike. However, once at the hospital doctors provided a very different narrative. The Chester County District Attorney said doctors reported her as being "broken and barely alive". She weighed only 50 lbs and had half a dozen broken bones as well as bruises and organ failure.  Sadly Malinda passed away as a result of her mistreatment.  Police would launch an investigation that would uncover the sickening truth and lead to the arrest of Rendell and his girlfriend, 45-year-old Cindy Warren.
