 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. REUTERS/Afolabi Sotunde                            According to Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo Iweala,She said ''There is no war,there is an insurgency,we are not in a Colombia situation''.This was what she said on sunday to an international magazine,in her car in Abuja on her way as she headed to the airport to fly to NewYork.She also said Boko Haram,who have raided schools,churches,government offices and security posts in theit fight to carve out an Islamist enclave,mostly affected around 5% of the nation's territory,the northeast states of Borno,Yobe and Adamawa,but she acknowledged Boko haram had shown it could strike further south.She said further ''WEF is still going to hold'',this what she said to the host of the African Davos which was previously been held in cities such as Cape town and Addis Ababa.Nigeria is mounting the largest security operation it had ever staged for an international summit,deploying 6,000 soldiers and police.
