  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. CONTAINER FALLS ON A BUS AT OSHODI APAPA EXPRESS WAY.

The trailer that fell down at Apapa express         According to sources,the incident happened at about 7a.m at Toyota bus stop on Oshodi Apapa express way today thurday.The drivers of the truck and bus were badly injured.They were taken to the hospital for treatment.The truck and bus were also badly damaged.The truck was coming from Mile 2 area towards Airport road when on getting to Toyota bus stop,the driver wanted to link Airport road but the truck failed brake and the driver could not control the truck.He rammed the truck into a pillar and it summersaulted,fell,spilling the two heavy containers it was carrying on the bus.The accident caused heavy traffic because the truck fell across the road.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
