 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. CONTAINER FALLS ON A BUS AT OSHODI APAPA EXPRESS WAY.

The trailer that fell down at Apapa express         According to sources,the incident happened at about 7a.m at Toyota bus stop on Oshodi Apapa express way today thurday.The drivers of the truck and bus were badly injured.They were taken to the hospital for treatment.The truck and bus were also badly damaged.The truck was coming from Mile 2 area towards Airport road when on getting to Toyota bus stop,the driver wanted to link Airport road but the truck failed brake and the driver could not control the truck.He rammed the truck into a pillar and it summersaulted,fell,spilling the two heavy containers it was carrying on the bus.The accident caused heavy traffic because the truck fell across the road.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
