  Pioneer Nasarawa CAN Chair, Andrawus Auta, Dies Aged 95 A renowned Baptist missionary and the pioneer Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Nasarawa State, Rev. Andrawus Ahmadu Auta, is dead.  He died on Friday in Jos after a brief illness at the age of 95.  The deceased who known for the Christian programme (Shirin Amsa da Tambuyoyi adini Christa) on NBS(radio station) every Sunday by 8pm hails from Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.  Until his demise, he fellowship with the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Tudun Gwandara, Lafia.

             According to sources,a mother to one of the abducted Chibok school girls was identified by her mother on the video posted yesterday by the boko haram group.Dumoma Mpur,Parent Teachers Association Chairman at Government Girls Secondary school in Chibok said that ''Her mother watched the video on television on monday evening and spotted her daughter among the girls sitting on the ground and wearing veils'.Just imagine the faith of that mother,watching her daughter being forced against her will.I shed a tear.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
