 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

1578 CHRISTIAN SKELETONS,FOUND UNDER THE STREETS OF ROME.

In 1578 in Rome were discovered catacombs: in them, skeletons of martyrs that were later on sent across Europe to be adorned with jewels and placed in their designated churches. But where are they know? Art Historian Paul Koudounaris found out for us and told us in a just released book Heavenly Bodies: Cult Treasures and Spectacular Saints.            The labyrinthine structure revealed,containing many skeletons of early christian martyrs called saints because of their alleged miracles performed by them or their mission to support and spread christianity.The location was renamed the Catacomb saints and many of the skeletons were sent across Europe mainly Germany as a substitute for all the rekics that got damaged or stolen during the protestant reformation.When the skeletons reached their designated countries,they were clothed with precious jewels and then exhibited inside churches serving as a reminder of death and therefore to the necessity to devote one's life to God.These pictures were taken by Paul Koudounaris who tavelled round the continent to find out what was left of the skeletons.More photos below.                                                                                                       In 1578 in Rome were discovered catacombs: in them, skeletons of martyrs that were later on sent across Europe to be adorned with jewels and placed in their designated churches.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
