 Morehouse defends students, faculty who turned their backs during Biden speech: ‘We are proud’ Morehouse College is praising its students and faculty after at least seven graduates and one faculty member sat with their backs turned to President Biden as he delivered his commencement address at the Atlanta school earlier Sunday. Morehouse said "peaceful assembly is core" to the school’s "social justice tradition," and its administration "fully supports and defends the right to peacefully protest and the expression of one’s views openly."  Given its most famous alumni, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Morehouse said it was "fitting that a moment of organized, peaceful, activism would occur on our campus while the world is watching to continue a critical conversation."  "We are proud of the resilient class of 2024’s unity in silent protest, showing their intentionality in strategy, communication, and coordination as a 412-person unit," Morehou

The student from Florida (pictured in hospital) suffered series facial injuries in the attack - and was left with a smashed eye socket               According to sources,a gang of men attacked an American student while he was drinking in the street.The gang grabbed a glass bottle from his hands and smashed it over his head.The American student is named Francesco Hounye,he is 23 years old from Florida,who had been in Britain for just three days when he was harrassed by the men on his way home,with a friend in Shadwell,east London,later on he was attacked by the men again,then they smashed his head with a glass.The men who attacked him are named Shaleem Uddin 20,Shadhat Hussian 19,Kamrul Hussain 22,and Massom Rahman 22.CCTV footage shows the American student being chased around,beaten and his head smashed with a bottle.His eye socket was also damage.He was afraid to walk on the street of London,he decided to return to Florida,the case is still in court.What a warm welcome he got from the east London lads.More photos below.                                         The American student was walking in east London when the mob, pictured, attacked him - kicking him in the head before smashing him over the head with the bottleThe court heard how the student, who had only been in the country for three days, was too scared to go out after the brutal attack. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
