 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. BOKO HARAM FREED 2 PRIEST & A NUN IN CAMEROON.

                   According to sources two Italian priests and a Canadian nun,kidnapped in northern Cameroon nearly two months ago by suspected Boko Haram gunmen were released today sunday,smiling and apparently in good health as they arrived in the capital.Giampaolo Marta and Gianantonio Allegri,missionaries from the Diocese of Vicenza in northeast Italy,and Canadian Gilberte Bissiere were seized against their will on the night of April 4 from the parish of Maroua,close to the the border with Nigeria.There has been no claim of responsibility for their kidnapping but Cameroon officials have pointed the finger at the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram.The captives were seen arriving at Yaounde airport today sunday in the company of heavily armed Cameroon special forces.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
