 COURT RESTRAINS RESIDENT DOCTORS FROM EMBARKING ON STRIKE  The national industrial court Abuja division has restrained all members and agents of the national association of resident doctors from calling, directing, organizing, participating in, and embarking upon any form of industrial action.  Justice Emmanuel Danjuma Subilim gave the order in an interim injunction filed by the federal government through the office of the attorney general of the federation and minister of justice.  The court temporally barred members of the association from embarking on any form of strike, work stoppages, go-slows, picketing, or any other form of industrial protest or disruption. The association is equally restrained from taking steps preparatory to any form of industrial action from the 12th day of january, 2026.               The trial of Oscar Pistorius which began in March,took a month long break to allow the 27 year old Oscar to under go a mental evaluation at Pretoria's Weskoppies hospital after a forensic Psychologist brought by the defense,testified that Pristorius had a anxiety disorder.The Judge Thokosile Masipa said it was important to find out whether or not the condition affected his criminal responsibility.During the trial,prosecutors have tried to paint a picture of a self obsessed Pistorius who knowingly killed his law graduate girlfriend as she was behind a locked bathroom door.Oscar Pistorius could face a life sentence if found guilty of the shooting on valetine's day last year.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
