 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.               The trial of Oscar Pistorius which began in March,took a month long break to allow the 27 year old Oscar to under go a mental evaluation at Pretoria's Weskoppies hospital after a forensic Psychologist brought by the defense,testified that Pristorius had a anxiety disorder.The Judge Thokosile Masipa said it was important to find out whether or not the condition affected his criminal responsibility.During the trial,prosecutors have tried to paint a picture of a self obsessed Pistorius who knowingly killed his law graduate girlfriend as she was behind a locked bathroom door.Oscar Pistorius could face a life sentence if found guilty of the shooting on valetine's day last year.
