 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. Flying Solo: Harrison Ford, pictured in London yesterday, has been airlifted to hospital after injuring himself on the set of the latest Star Wars film                                                                                71 years old Harrison Ford was airlifted yesterday to the hospital after a space ship crushed his ankle in an accident on the set of the latest Star Wars film.He clutched his chest in pain as crew members rushed to free him from underneath the space ship.He was then stretched off set and flown to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford,which specializies in fractires.Producers are now hastly rescheduling shoots to allow for what could be a lengthy absence for Harrison Ford.More photos below.                                             Culprit?
