Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food.
