 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. 2 WOMEN WORKING FOR BOKO HARAM,ARRESTED YESTERDAY.

                According to Director of Defence Information,Col.Onyema Nwanchukwu,after a woman named Hafsat Usman Bako was arrested earlier inconnection with the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram,two more women were also arrested yesterday.They were intercepted on their way to the Sambisa forest.The two women are named Zainab Idris and Aisha Abubakar.It was discovered that the two suspects were travelling to Madafali from where they were to transt to the forest to re unite with their cohorts.Investigations revealed that the suspects led by Hafsat Bako,have the mission to recruit members into the female wing as conduct espionage for the Boko Haram group.The suspects lures ladies,especially widows and young girls by enticing them with male suitors who are mainly members of Boko Haram for marriage.Before their arrest,they were on a mission to take additional briefing from the leadership of the terror group.
