We didn’t suffer what you are going through. We lived a life of dignity. “My generation had dreams, genuine dreams, about this country becoming one of the best in the world, because we have abundant human and natural resources that should make us a leading country in the world. REUTERS/Larry Downing            U.S president Barack Obama on monday gave a preview of a summit he will hold with African leaders next week,saying African nations should look inward for solutions to economic woes and not make excuses based on a history of dependence and colonization.Speaking to 500 young African finishing a six week Washington leadership fellowship.Obama said it was important for developed countries to consider providing some targeted debt relief,it was time to end the notion that all of African nations problems resulted from onerous debt imposed by the west.''At some point,we have to stop looking some where else for solutions,and you have to start looking for solutions internally.As powerful as history is,and you need to know that history,at some point,you have to look to the future and say ok,we didn't get a good deal the,but let's make sure that we're not making excuses for not going forward''.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
