 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. AT LAST,PRESIDENT GOODLUCK MEETS WITH PARENTS OF THE MISSING GIRLS.

Some of the girls who escaped from Boko Haram arriving the venue of the meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan                The Nigerian President,Goodluck Jonathan,met with the missing girls parents today tuesday in Abuja.The girls were kidnapped since 14 April from their school in Chibok and today makes it day 99 since they were kidnapped by Boko Haram.It is a closed door meeting which was attended by 50 students who escaped from Boko Haram and about 40 parents.The parents and students arrived yesterday Monday in Abuja and they were lodged in Nicon Luxury hotel from where they were taken in four Abuja mass transit buses to the meeting which was called off last week and the excuse given was that it was organised in a hurry and there was no time to consult with all the parents.{i hope people are not wishing for Boko Haram to kidnap their children so that they can lodge them in Nicon and visit the president lol}.Joor Nobody wish for bad thing.More photos below.                                                                                                                       Some parents arriving the venueIMG-20140722-00216
