 PRESS RELEASE  FG Commends  Diaspora Healthcare Professionals' Medical Missions to Nigeria  The Federal Government has commended efforts by diaspora based Nigerian healthcare professionals to improve healthcare in Nigeria, emphasizing it's crucial support to enhance its sustainability. Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare stated at the gala night of the just concluded Association of Nigerian Physicians in Americas (ANPA)  31st Annual Scientific Convention / 30 years anniversary celebration held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.             One of Nigerian successful business man,Jimoh Ibrahim who is the Group managing Director of Energy group is advising christians nationwide not to work tomorrow thursday because he wants them to observe the day of Atonement.Jimoh Ibrahim further said that God commanded that his children should not work on the 10th day of the seventh month and that they should bring their souls before him for atonement.It is a special day,set aside to cleanse all saints and it is observed once a year.He even quoted Leviticus 16v29-31.Verse 29 says ''And this shall be a statue for ever unto you that in the seventh month,on the tenth day of the month,ye shall afflict your souls and do work at all,whether it be one of your own country or a stranger that sojourneth among you.You can read the remaing verses at your spare time.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
