 Poverty Is A Sign Of Ungodliness – Pastor Korede Komaiya  The Presiding Pastor of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, has said poverty is a sign of ungodliness. Komaiya made this known while delivering a sermon to his congregation as seen in a viral video on social media. According to the clergyman, it is written that those who obey and serve God will prosper in life. “So, poverty is a sign of ungodliness. To be poor means there is sin in your life,” he added. Further speaking, Komaiya pointed out that most people think it is those who are rich that usually have sin in their lives, adding that people should “never trust the holiness of a poor man.” Giving reasons why poor people are usually believed to be humble, the clergyman made it clear that it is because they are limited in resources. “You can’t carry a girlfriend, the resources are not there.   SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
