Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. A group of Ethiopean bloggers and journalists were detained for nearly three months,haven been charged for having links to an outlawed and planning attacks,says the Judge.The seven bloggers and three journalists were arrested in April ,prompting an outcry from rights groups who said the case was an assault on press freedom.They were accused of planning attacks in Ethiopia and working in collusion with the US based opposition Ginbot 7,labelled by Ethiopian authorities as a terrorist organisation.The Judge said ''They took training in how to make explosive and plan to train others''.The picture above belongs to one o the bloggers Eskinder Nega,his currently serving an 18 year sentence for having links with Ginbot 7,which calls for the violent overthrow of the rulling party.The trial for other bloggers resumes 4th of August.
