 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. Tricky: Another photo showed him balancing on a rope bridge at Giant's Causeway in Ireland              57 year old Mark Haugh,told officials he could only walk a few steps without discomfort and would be left bed bound for up to five days a week due to mobility issues.An investigation opened up on him when he was spotted strolling through Bristol Airport.Eventually they discovered an action filled holiday photo album,with pictures of him on the back of a Jet ski and balancing on a perilious rope bridge at Giant's Causeway in Ireland.He was given a community order and Judge Mark Horton said ''One of the huge difficulties about people who abuse the benefit system,attracts huge public attention,huge public disapproval and enormous bitterness.People who pay their taxes,when they discover that someone who has a disability is known to go on foreign holidays,on jet skis and cycling,they come to the conclusion that their position in the society is being abused by people like you,that is the reason you are in court.It is not acceptable in the society.It was also appalling not to disclose it.Mark Haugh had claimed 7,032 pounds as Disability Living Allowance between January 2012 and April last year.The allowance for these year stop coming after the Department for work and Pensions seized some of his holiday snaps and spotted him strolling through Bristol Airport.Mark's Haugh lawyer claimed Mark legitimately claimed for benefit initially but had failed to inform the authorities of an improvement in his condition.That he has no plan to spend the money on ill gotten gains on a luxury lifestyle.He pleaded guilty to receiving the over payment by failing to notify a change in circumstances.He was given a community order with six month's supervision to help him with employment and training,problem solving and debt advice.More photos below.                                                                    Action-filled: The 57-year-old, who received more than £7,000 in benefits, was seen jet-skiing in IrelandCaught: This is one of Mark Haugh's holiday photos that emerged after he claimed he can only walk a few steps

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
