 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. A PASSENGER WHO DIED AT THE MURTALA MUHAMMED AIRPORT IS EBOLA FREE.

            According to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria {FAAN}.Mr Yakobu Dati said ''The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria wishes to inform the public that a Nigerian passenger residing in Accrs who arrived Lagos for business transactions aboard on Arik Air flight on friday August 8,2014 has died at the Murtala Mohammad Airport Ikeja,on his way back to Accra.The passenger Mr Akunne Osei took ill on saturday,August 9 and started stooling.When the situation got worse,he called his doctor in Accra who instructed him to return to Ghana immediately for further treatment.During boarding formalities for his return trip to Accra,at the international terminal of MMA,Mr Osei,who had obviously become weak at this time was subjected to Ebola virus test by Port health officials,the result of which was negative.No further attention was paid to him after his Ebola virus result reads negative but he later slumped and died.Around the port health office.This release is necessary to forestall the possible dissemination of unfounded and misleading media reports on the unfortunate incident''.
