  Pioneer Nasarawa CAN Chair, Andrawus Auta, Dies Aged 95 A renowned Baptist missionary and the pioneer Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN in Nasarawa State, Rev. Andrawus Ahmadu Auta, is dead.  He died on Friday in Jos after a brief illness at the age of 95.  The deceased who known for the Christian programme (Shirin Amsa da Tambuyoyi adini Christa) on NBS(radio station) every Sunday by 8pm hails from Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.  Until his demise, he fellowship with the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Tudun Gwandara, Lafia.

NIGERIA AND OTHER EBOLA AFFECTED COUNTRIES BARRED FROM YOUTH OLYMPIC IN CHINA.

             According to the International Olympic committee and Chinese organisers said today friday that ''Athletes from affected areas will not compete in combat sports and also decided that no athletes from the region would compete in the pool.The decision was made with regards to ensuring the safety of all those participating in the games taking place in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing''.They did not reveal nationalities and names of the athletes affected by the decision.According to the youth Olympic website,there were a total of 25 people on the team lists of Ebola hit countries like Sierra Leone,Liberia,Guinea and Nigeria.It was not immediately clear how many of the 25 competitors had already arrived in Beijing nor why only one swimmer had been barred,given that there were three from the affected countries.
