 Taraba Govt, NAPTIP Rescue 8 Trafficked Children, Arrest Suspect The Taraba State Government, in collaboration with NAPTIP, has rescued eight trafficked children who were being smuggled out of the state. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Mary Sinjen, disclosed this on Friday during the reunion of the rescued children with their families. The children, taken from Minda village in Lau LGA, were intercepted in Gembu, Sardauna LGA, where traffickers were reportedly seeking more victims. The key suspect, identified as Mrs. Patience, along with several accomplices, has been arrested and is currently in custody as legal proceedings continue. Sinjen reaffirmed the government’s zero tolerance for child trafficking and emphasized ongoing efforts to locate other victims. She called for public vigilance, stressing that child protection is a collective responsibility.

PROFESSOR MUHAMMAD ALKALI,A CONFAB DELEGATE,TO BE BURIED TODAY.

          He died on friday night 1 August 201 at his residence in Maiduguri.Professor Alkali was one of the six delegates representing the Supreme Council foe Islamic Affairs {SCIA} at the 2014 National Conference in Abuja.He was 68 years old.He was buried today saturday August 2,2014 in Maiduguri.May his soul rest in peace,Amen.
