Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. According to sources,a sister of the medical doctor Iyke Enemuo,who recently died from Ebola virus,fled to Abia state to avoid being quarantined along with others who came into contact with the late doctor.One of her siblings,who is also a doctor,forced her to return to the quarantine centre in Port Harcourt.The woman helped care for her doctor brother as he suffered from the Ebola virus.Atlease 200 people who came in contact with Dr Enemuo,who died last friday in Port Harcourt,have been placed in Quarantine for close medical watch.Dr Enemuo had contracted the virus when he was secretly treating a staff of ECOWAS who in turn had contact with Patrick Sawyer.A tweet i saw in the internet confirmed to me that Patrick Sawyer,had a mission at heart to spread Ebola virus in Nigeria.Read tweet below.
