 PSC PROMOTES 3,800 POLICE OFFICERS; ELEVATES 2 DIGs, 10 AIGs, 17 CPs The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of over 3,800 police officers, including two Deputy Inspectors-General, ten Assistant Inspectors-General and seventeen Commissioners of Police, following successful promotion examinations and oral interviews. In a statement, the approvals were granted at the Commission’s plenary meeting in Abuja, presided over by its Chairman, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu, retired. Among the beneficiaries are AIG Olaolu Adegbite, Head of INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Abuja, and AIG Dankombo Morris, Head of Zone Four Headquarters, Makurdi, both elevated to the rank of Deputy Inspector-General. The exercise also covered officers across other senior ranks, including 3,218 Assistant Superintendents promoted to Deputy Superintendents.
