  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. AN AKWA IBOM WOMAN,ARRESTED FOR KILLING AND EATING HER NEIGHBOUR'S DOGS.

                  According to sources,a 28 year old woman,Helen Essien,a mother of three and from Akwa Ibom whom owns a popular dog pepper soup joint in Ajao estate,Lagos,was arrested and charged before Oshodi magistrate court for allegedly stealing her neighbours dogs to prepare pepper soup.Helen went to the dog owners house,Andrew Ozo at Aimasiko street,off Afariogun street,Oshodi,Lagos and asked him to sell his three dogs to her but she refused.The following day,he woke up in the morning and did not find the dogs again.He hurriedly went to Essien's bar and found she and her workers busy preparing dog pepper soap.Andrew confronted her and she denied.He reported the matter at Makinde police Division.During interrogations,Helen Essien confessed she went to Andrew's house to check the dogs but denied stealing them.She claimed that she only went to Andrew's house because her dog's were missing but she pretended that she wanted to buy his dogs in order to check if they were her own.She will remain in Kirikiri prison until she meet up with the bail of N200,000 and two surties, set by the Magistrate.
