 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. BRITISH FINANCE MINISTER,ANNOUNCED THAT BRITAIN IS TO FREEZE WELFARE PAYMENT FOR 2 YEARS.

            According to the British Finance Minister George Osborne announced today the policy at his Conservative party's annual conference,that there would be no increase in state benefits for two years to save 3.0 Billion pounds.He said it was not fair that benefits have been rising more than earnings.''Working age benefits will have to be frozen for two years.This is the choice that Britain needs to take to protect our economic stability and to secure a better future.Disability and pension benefits are excluded from the charge''.The Finance Minister also have plans to cut a pension inheritance tax in a move expected to benefit the families of hundreds of thousands of people to the tune of 150 Million ponds a year.British Prime Minister David Cameron said yesterday sunday that ''It is not acceptable fr young people under the age of 21 to go straight from school on to benefits and into a home paid for through housing benefit''.One more picture below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
