 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. D.N.A TEST ON DEAD BODIES FROM T.B JOSHUA COLLAPSE BUILDING STARTS TODAY.

                  The Lagos state government called for DNA samples from relatives of the deceased to be able to sort out the dead bodies before releasing them to their loved ones for burial.The government said relatives and family members of victims both locally and internationally must come forward to donate samples for the test.Commissioner for Health,Dr Jide Idris who disclosed this today friday at Alausa,Lagos,said early submission of samples would aid forensic identification and DNA analysis of recovered bodies.He said the state government considered it necessary to start forensic identification and  DNA analysis of the recovered bodies in view of the need to identify each of them.The submission of DNA samples starts today friday 26th of September at the Department of Forensic medicine at the Lagos state University Teaching Hospital LASUTH,Ikeja,to aid the forensic identification and DNA analysis of recovered bodies.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
