An alligator assisted Louisiana Troopers getting a drunk driver off of the road. This unusual incident occurred in St. Charles Parish Louisiana, on Sunday, June 7th. 40-year-old Victor Rivas was pulled over along Interstate 310 after he had crashed into a concrete barrier which resulted in two flat tires.  After officers made contact with Rivas, it became obvious he was very intoxicated. When Victor realized he was about to be arrested, he made another bad decision and jumped from the elevated section of I-310 into the swamp below. This was the beginning of a pursuit that would end with the help of some local wildlife.  Rivas was initially able to evade troopers but was later spotted walking along Highway 61. As troopers closed in on the inebriated Rivas, he once again jumped into a roadside swamp.  His luck ran out when his flight from the law captured the attention of an alligator.  Rivas was attacked by the alligator and suffered injuries to both of his arms...

REUTERS- Amir Cohen                      According to sources,Israel's high court yesterday monday outlawed a detention center where African migrants are held without trial and ordered 2,000 inmates to be released over the next three months.Th ruling struck down a measure passed by Israel's parliament in December to indefinitely incarcerate migrants, most of them from Sudan and Eritrea,in a measure criticized by human rights groups as an attempt to force migrants to leave.Israeli leaders have denounced the migrants they refer to as infiltrators as harmful to Israel and largely stopped their entry by fortifying a fence along the Egyptian border in 2012,later offering financial incentives to those agreeing to leave and detaining thousands. The detention center called a Holot opened a year ago in the Southern Negev desert. One more photo below.                            An African migrant prepares food outside Holot open detention centre in Israel's southern Negev desert September 22, 2014.
