NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. Fashion Police host Joan Rivers,who passed away today at a Manhattan hospital a week after she went into cardiac arrest during a routine throat procedure.Her Dauhter Melissa said in a statement that ''it is with great sadness that i announce the death of my mother Joan Rivers.She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends.My son and i would like to thank the doctors,nurses,and staff of Mount Sinai hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.Cooper and i have found ourselves humbled by the out pouring of love,support and prayers.We have received from around the world.They have been heard and appreciated.My mother's greatest joy in life was to make people laugh.Although that is difficult to do right now.I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon''.Joan Rivers has been at the center of American entertainment since her breakthrough in 1965 when she broke through on Tonight show.May her soul rest in peace Amen.More photos below.
