Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Fashion Police host Joan Rivers,who passed away today at a Manhattan hospital a week after she went into cardiac arrest during a routine throat procedure.Her Dauhter Melissa said in a statement that ''it is with great sadness that i announce the death of my mother Joan Rivers.She passed peacefully at 1:17pm surrounded by family and close friends.My son and i would like to thank the doctors,nurses,and staff of Mount Sinai hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother.Cooper and i have found ourselves humbled by the out pouring of love,support and prayers.We have received from around the world.They have been heard and appreciated.My mother's greatest joy in life was to make people laugh.Although that is difficult to do right now.I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon''.Joan Rivers has been at the center of American entertainment since her breakthrough in 1965 when she broke through on Tonight show.May her soul rest in peace Amen.More photos below.
