 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. O.A.U,FEMALE STUDENT SUSPECTED TO BE INFECTED WITH EBOLA,TEST NEGATIVE TO THE VIRUS.

                The Obafemi Awolowo University female student,whom her fellow classmate suspected to have been infected with Ebola virus,tested negative to the virus for the second time.She was a secondary contact to an Ebola victim.She was moved to Lagos from her school for further test after she submitted herself for the first test.The second test was confirmed today thursday to be negative,by the PRO of OAU,Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju.The PRO said that the result of the third test would be out today and doctors from the school were optimistic that it would be negative,since the first two test is negative.Sources claimed that Governor Rauf Aregbesola was very happy on hearing that the second test was negative.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
