World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. Today thursday,Oscar Pristorius was found not guilty of the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.The Judge dismissed the most serious charges against him saying ''The state clearly has not proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused is guilty of premeditated murder.Viewed in it's totality,the evidence failed to establish that the accused had the requisite intention to kill the deceased let alone with premeditation.Clearly he did not objectively foresee this as a possibility,that he would kill the person behind the door''.Oscar was charged with one count of murder and three fire arms charge over the killing of his girlfriend on Valentine day 2013.The judge also reviewed evidence by neighbours,who testified of hearing shots and screams saying ''Many had their facts wrong.The media had huge coverage of the case and that could have affected some of the witnesses.I am of the view the witnesses failed to separate what they knew personally or what they heard from other people or what they gathered from the media.The accused himself was evasive on the stand and his evidence showed a number of defences or apparent defences.The accused was a very poor witness''.More photos below.
