 Umueri Crisis Claim: False, Election to Hold April 8 - Says Anambra East Mayor By Nwegbo Ifeanyi  The Anambra East LG Chairman, Hon. Ifeanyi Chinweze, has denied allegations of a leadership crisis in Umueri General Assembly, calling the statement from Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum " false and misleading. Addressing journalists, Chinweze said Umueri is peaceful, with town union elections scheduled for April 8, 2026. He claimed Ikenga Umueri Unity Forum, which issued the statement, is actually frustrating the election with selfish motives.  He distanced himself, PG Chief John Metchie, and electoral committee chairman Barr. Eugene Aghaebe from the allegations, saying they were innocent. The controversy arose after Chinweze insisted Ikenga should not hold key positions like, Secretary, and Vice President simultaneously since they have president general, considering Umueri's three quarters (Ezi, Ikenga, and Invite).            The #BringBackJonathan campaign have been highly criticized by many Nigerians because they felt he is making a mockery of the #Bring back our girls campaign.It would have been o.k if the girls were rescued but for the mere fact they are still missing,that campaign slogan will not be appropriate for his 2015 election.The controversy surrounding the slogan made President Goodluck Jonathan to order the campaign banners,posters posted in different parts of Abuja by Goodluck Initiative for Transformation {GIFT} be removed.Goodluck Jonathan's spokesman Reuben Abati said ''Jonathan shared the view that the #Bring Back Goodluck 2015 signs,apparently backing his re-eletion next year were ''Offensive and repugnant''.President Jonathan wholly shared the widely expressed view that the signs which were put up without his knowledge or approval are a highly insensitive parody of the #Bring Back Our Girls hash tag.One more picture below.                                                                                                                                         #BringBackGoodluck2015

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
