              305 Nigerians and friends of the country will be honoured with various national honours by President Goodluck Jonathan.Nollywood screen diva's like Omotola Jalade Ekeinde,Joke Silva and an actor Kenneth Nnebue will be honoured.Also to be decorated with the MFR Honours are Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin,Human right activist,Mrs Maiden Ibru,publisher,The Gardian Newspaper,Chief {Mrs}Leila Fowler,Legal Practitionr,Blessing Okagbare,Gold medalist in 2014 Common Wealth Games,Moji Makanjuola,Journalist,Mrs Katherine Philip Adamu,Chief catering officer State House,Abuja,Hamalai Jummai Gwalem,House keeper,Presidential wing,Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport,and Mrs Imeh Usuah,a taxi driver,etc.In a statement signed by Dr Adeyemo M.Tunde,Director Special Duties Office on behalf of the secretary to the Government of the federation,said the recipients will be honoured at the  Investiture ceremony holding on Monday,29th of September 2014 at the International conference centre,Abuja.Congrats to them all.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
