 GOVERNMENT OF RIVERS STATE   PRESS STATEMENT  MY DECISION TO WITHDRAW FROM THE RIVERS  STATE  GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARIES  Fellow Rivers People, After deep reflection and extensive consultations with my family, friends, and associates, I have taken the difficult but necessary decision to withdraw from the APC gubernatorial primaries. I do so with a full heart and with a firm commitment to support whoever emerges as the candidate of our great party. Leadership is ultimately about sacrifice. There comes a time when personal ambition must yield to the greater good of the people. Rivers State is bigger than any individual, and at this critical moment, the peace, stability, and unity of our dear state must take precedence over every personal interest. SOMALIA ISLAMIC MILITANTS,THREATENED BARACK OBAMA OVER THE DEATH OF THEIR LEADER GODANE

                    According to sources,Barack Obama,president of the United state,was threatened on monday,following the death of Al-shabaab leader,Ahmed Godane who was killed by a U.S missile.They told Obama he would hear a ''Shocking news'',not quite long after the threat,they launched a twin attack inside Somalia against African peacekeepers and a government convoy.The police said the twin attack in Somalia left 18 people dead.Senior Al-shabaab official,Fuad Mohamed Khalaf Shongole said in a recorded message,promising to avenge the death of Ahmed Godane.''Let our Majahideen fighters wait for good news,and let Obama wait for shocking news''.
