 Nigerian Association for Family Development releases communique on 18 biennial conference held in Awka By Chris Chikelue The Nigerian Association For Family Development (NAFAD) has made public the communique made at the 18th Biennial conference  themed: 'Marriage as a Vocation- Flourishing Despite Modern Challenges'. The communique which was issued on March 30, 2025 at the Bishop AK Obiefuna  Retreat and Pastoral Centre, Okpunor, Awka, Anambra State was signed by NAFAD National President, Mr. Uche Okpala and its National Secretary,  Mrs Tayo Akinyede. It was a gathering that brought together couples, relationship experts, and singles to explore practical ways to strengthen marriages and address contemporary relationship challenges. According to the communique the event emphasized that marriage is a sacred vocation—a call to total self-giving, sacrifice, and shared purpose in building resilient families. STRANGE BUT TRUE,MIND WHERE YOU MAKE YOUR HAIR.

             It was discovered recently that a salon in Ogun state after washing a client's hair,they will take the water to a spiritualist,to take their glory.The secret spiritual operation of the salon was discovered by a female client,after making her hair,she found out that the water they used in washing her hair was turned into a gallon and the owner of the salon was seen putting the gallon of water at the back of her car.The client raised alarm,when people gathered the owner of the salon claimed she was carrying a gallon of petrol.She was forced to open the gallon,immediately she opened the gallon,she started confessing that she need the water she collects from her salon,to increase her wealth.The owner of the salon do set a bucket behind to collect the water,later they will transfer the water to a gallon.Dear readers,when ever you enter a  saloon to make your hair,make sure the water used in washing your hair is properly disposed.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
