TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. According to France's socialist government today pledged to toughen up its anti face covering law after a veiled Muslim woman was ejected from a major Opera house Bastille .Her ejection from the opera house has divided opinion in the city's liberal arts community,in which cast members performing La Traviata openly objected to the presence of a woman in the audience wearing a niqab type veil.The Director of the Bastille Opera house said ''A singer spotted her in the frount row during the second act.Some performers said they didn't want to sing and she was later kicked out''.There has been a ban on muslims covering their face in public in France since the introduction of the law in 2011.The Muslim woman was from a Gulf state and she attended the performance with a friend.This is the first incident of someone being ejected from an artistic venue,because of her muslim veil.The security guard Mr Thiellay said ''I told her that in France there is a ban of this nature,then i told her to either uncover her face or leave the auditorium.I asked the woman to get up,and they left.It was unpleasant getting her to leave,but there was a misunderstanding of the law and lady either had to respect it or leave''.Na wahoooo.
