Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. According to France's socialist government today pledged to toughen up its anti face covering law after a veiled Muslim woman was ejected from a major Opera house Bastille .Her ejection from the opera house has divided opinion in the city's liberal arts community,in which cast members performing La Traviata openly objected to the presence of a woman in the audience wearing a niqab type veil.The Director of the Bastille Opera house said ''A singer spotted her in the frount row during the second act.Some performers said they didn't want to sing and she was later kicked out''.There has been a ban on muslims covering their face in public in France since the introduction of the law in 2011.The Muslim woman was from a Gulf state and she attended the performance with a friend.This is the first incident of someone being ejected from an artistic venue,because of her muslim veil.The security guard Mr Thiellay said ''I told her that in France there is a ban of this nature,then i told her to either uncover her face or leave the auditorium.I asked the woman to get up,and they left.It was unpleasant getting her to leave,but there was a misunderstanding of the law and lady either had to respect it or leave''.Na wahoooo.
