 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. Rasak Momoh                                                                              Suspended Edo PDP Lawmaker Hon Rasak Momoh was last attacked by unknown persons at his residence at Legislators quarters by an unknown persons.He is currently receiving medical attention at the Accident and Emergency ward of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital {UBTH} was allegedly left for dead by his attackers.A close member of their family said these morning that injuries he sustained,may make them fly him abroad for proper treatment.One more photo below.                                                                          facebook-20141008-014517(2)
