 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. CHRISTIANS IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC,KILLED AND BURNT A MUSLIM OUT OF ANGER.

                     According to witnesses today wednesday,they said an angry crowd killed a Muslim man in the capital of Central African Republic overnight,decapitating and burning his corpse,and in revenge Muslims killed a Christian taxi driver.The Muslim man was chased and killed by Christian Anti-Balaka militiamen in the surburb of Gobongo because he was suspected of having thrown a grenade from a bus into a market,injuring several.Red cross officials returned the corpse to Muslim neighborhood for burial.One more picture below.
