 FIRST IMPORTED EBOLA CASE: NIGERIA EVACUATES INDEX CASE TO SWITZERLAND AS CONTAINMENT MEASURES CONTINUE The Nigeria’s confirmed Ebola index case has been medically evacuated from Abuja to Switzerland, following approval by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate. The forty-two-year-old patient, whose case marked Nigeria’s first imported Ebola virus disease case, was transferred alongside her spouse, who has remained asymptomatic. In a statement posted on his X handle, Professor Pate said the patient was clinically much improved, stable, conscious and able to communicate, with laboratory test results approaching baseline levels. However, the Minister cautioned that the patient’s clinical improvement does not necessarily mean she is no longer infectious, stressing that strict public health protocols remain in place. LAGOS STATE GOVT GAVE N50 MILLION TO FIRST CONSULT HOSPITAL.

                    These money given to the first consultant hospital to me they deserved it because if not for that hospital and the late female doctor,Dr Stella Adedavoh,Ebola virus would have spread beyond control in Nigeria.When they admitted Patrick Sawyer {the Liberian that brought Ebola to Nigeria},they quickly reported the matter to the state government which help curtained the spread of Ebola virus in the country.The hospital also lost four of it staff including its most senior consultant,Dr Stella Adedavoh.At a news conference yesterday monday at the Bagauda Kaltho press centre,Alausa,Ikeja,Lagos,Commissioner for health,Dr Jide Idris said ''We are giving N50 million lump sum as business support gesture to first consultant medical centre.This is with a view to getting people and business back on their feet and for business to re-secure patronage of their customers.It  needs clearly be stated that this is not an attempt at compensation but a gesture of goodwill on the part of government''.More photos below.
