Freddie Jackson, R&B Legend Behind “You Are My Lady” and “Rock Me Tonight,” Dies at 70 R&B has lost one of its most unmistakable voices. Freddie Jackson, the singer whose smooth delivery helped define romantic R&B during the 1980s and gave generations of listeners songs including “You Are My Lady,” “Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)” and “Have You Ever Loved Somebody,” has died. He was 70. Jackson’s death was announced Tuesday, October 6, through his verified Instagram account. According to the memorial shared by his family and team, the singer died Monday night, October 5. The announcement did not disclose a cause of death. “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Freddie Jackson,” the statement read, describing the singer as a generous soul who loved his fans, family, friends and music. She WILL sue: Melissa Rivers will allegedly sue the clinic where her mother Joan went into cardiac arrest a week before her death in order to find out what really happened              Late Fashion Police host Joan Rivers daughter Melissa Rivers,plans to sue the clinic where her mother stopped breathing.Joan Rivers who died on September 4 in New York city,a week after she went into cardiac and respiratory arrest in the middle of a routine throat surgery.Melissa Rivers feels that suing Yorkville Endoscopy LLC is the only way forward,after being told by lawyers that without a lawsuit,she won't be able to find out what led to her mother's death.Melissa is frustrated at this point and she wants doctos and other staff at the clinic to take part in the depositions and explain what happened to Joan under oath.A close friend of their family claimed the alleged decision comes shortly after the clinic was deemed deficient in four major categories required for accreditation following an investigation by the New York state Health Department.More photos below.
