 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. UNITED STATES TO USE SPANISH AIR BASE TO COMBAT EBOLA.?.

               According to sources who are in the Defense ministry said today that the United States has asked the Madrid government for permission to use their U.S air bases in Spain,for its operation to combat the Ebola crisis in Africa.''The U.S authorities have indeed asked Spain to use their bases in their country as a transit point for logistics and engineers building up field hospitals in Liberia and Sierra Leone.None of the planes will transport patients or people suspected to have contracted Ebola,or who have been in contact with infected people.Spain will have a right to inspect the planes and passengers''.The decision is due to be announced tomorrow friday when Spanish Defense Minister Pedro Morenes meets U.S Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel in Washington.The United States has four bases in Spain,at Moron Dela Frontera near seville and Rota near Cadiz in southern Spain,Torrejon de Ardoz near ,Madrid and Zaragoza in the north.If Madrid have sense they should tell U.S,that everybody should take care of their own Ebola Virus patients in their various countries.More photoS below.
