World’s Youngest Reigning Monarch , King Oyo, Dies at 34 King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the traditional ruler of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom who became the world’s youngest reigning monarch after ascending the throne at three, has died at the age of 34. The monarch reportedly died on Thursday, with the Prime Minister of the Tooro Kingdom, Calvin Armstrong Rwomiire Akiiki, announcing his death on Friday. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. However, Ugandan media reports quoted a government minister as saying that King Oyo had been critically ill and was receiving medical treatment in the United States. Reacting to the development, Akiiki described the monarch’s death as a major loss to the royal family and the people of Tooro. He urged members of the kingdom to remain united and calm while mourning the traditional ruler. Today Tuesday that Goodluck Jonathan is declaring,Boko Haram was also taken over another town Maiha in Adamawa state.Maiha is about 25 kilometers from Mubi,the commercial town that was captured by the Islamic militant group Boko Haram,last week.According to sources,even before the town fell to the hands of the insurgents,ii was already a shadow of itself as commercial and social activities were paralyzed.People were already leaving the town due to it's proximity to Mubi.Fleeing residents said they saw many soldiers running away from the area with some of them hitch-hiking in resident's vehicles.The soldiers told the residents that if the insurgents caught up with them,it would lead to instant death.More photos below.
