 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. BOKO HARAM HAS TAKEN OVER ANOTHER TOWN IN ADAMAWA STATE,TODAY.

                    Today Tuesday that Goodluck Jonathan is declaring,Boko Haram was also taken over another town Maiha in Adamawa state.Maiha is about 25 kilometers from Mubi,the commercial town that was captured by the Islamic militant group Boko Haram,last week.According to sources,even before the town fell to the hands of the insurgents,ii was already a shadow of itself as commercial and social activities were paralyzed.People were already leaving the town due to it's proximity to Mubi.Fleeing residents said they saw many soldiers running away from the area with some of them hitch-hiking in resident's vehicles.The soldiers told the residents that if the insurgents caught up with them,it would lead to instant death.More photos below.
