 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event.                                                       I  watched the drama that played out between the Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba and the committee that was questioning him yesterday,and how they reacted when he refused to recognize Hon Aminu Tambuwal,as Speaker of the  House of Representative.From what i could gather while watching,he said he refused to recognize the Speaker because his matter is still in court and today,a lot of lawyers and political parties were just condemning his attitude,towards the matter.If you ask me oh,some times people condemn blindly.Before they condemn the IGP,i condemn the fact that when i saw the House of Representative members flying the fence,i was so ashamed and i begin to wonder the type of leaders that we have voted in.Let me ask,youths in Nigeria,between the age of 25-40,are you in the House of Representative?,because the people flying that fence look like they are all above 50. With patience,that gate would have been opened for them.As for the teargas,it was a little childish to throw teargas within the House,so i condemn it.One more photo below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
