 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail.                                                       I  watched the drama that played out between the Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba and the committee that was questioning him yesterday,and how they reacted when he refused to recognize Hon Aminu Tambuwal,as Speaker of the  House of Representative.From what i could gather while watching,he said he refused to recognize the Speaker because his matter is still in court and today,a lot of lawyers and political parties were just condemning his attitude,towards the matter.If you ask me oh,some times people condemn blindly.Before they condemn the IGP,i condemn the fact that when i saw the House of Representative members flying the fence,i was so ashamed and i begin to wonder the type of leaders that we have voted in.Let me ask,youths in Nigeria,between the age of 25-40,are you in the House of Representative?,because the people flying that fence look like they are all above 50. With patience,that gate would have been opened for them.As for the teargas,it was a little childish to throw teargas within the House,so i condemn it.One more photo below.
