 ABUJA EARTH TREMOR: MINISTER DELE ALAKE CALLS FOR CALM, DIRECTS AGENCY TO REPORT UPDATES The minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake has directed the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency to provide hourly updates of the seismic developments around Abuja to him for regular review and possible escalation to other relevant agencies, Urging residents of the Federal Capital to go about their normal routine without anxiety. In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media, Lara Owoeye-Wise, the minister assures that proactive measures have been deployed to ensure the safety of residents and property. The minor earth tremor was noticed on Tuesday, August 4th at 11am in the Federal Capital Territory by the Nigerian Geological survey Agency.

THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS WILL NO LONGER HOLD IN MOROCCO-CAF.

                   Morocco has been disqualified from hosting the African Cup of Nation,as announced by the Confederation of African Football {CAF} yesterday tuesday.CAF,refused a request from the Moroccan government to post pone the tournament early next year because of fears over Ebola virus.CAF said it had received some applications to replace Morocco but did not say where the JAN-17 FEB 8 tournament could now be held.''Having firmly and unanimously notified on November 3,its decision to keep the competition on the dates indicated the executive committee confirmed that the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2015 will not take place in Morocco.The CAF executive committee has decided that the National team of Mrocco is automatically disqualified and will not take part in the 30th Orange Africa Cup of Nations in 2015''.
