A group of middle school students are being hailed as heroes after stopping a runaway bus and saving the driver who was suffering a medical emergency. Five students from Hancock Middle School, in Hancock County, Mississippi, saved the day on April 22nd when their bus driver, 47-year-old Leah Taylor, blacked out during an acute asthma attack. Leah was in the process of attempting to self administer medication when she blacked out. The bus was loaded with around 40 children when 12-year-old Jackson Casnave noticed the bus beginning to swerve. Jackson wasted no time jumping into action. He rushed to take control of the wheel while calling for help. His plea for help was answered by 4 additional brave students. 12-year-old Darius Clark rushed to Jackson's aid and began hitting the brakes.
